Today another art lesson from "Usborne Art Treasury". We studied "Squares with Concentric Circles" by Vassily Kandinksy. He believed colors could express feelings in the same way as music. He was one of the first artists to develop "abstract" art. Here is a pic of his art and our interpretation of it.

Art Class

Today I am still feeling a little under the weather but I really wanted to do some art from my new book "The Usborne Art Treasury". So we studied "The Square" by Alberto Giacometti. He was born in Switzerland in 1901 he loved to do sculptures of people walking the streets. People admired the way they seemed to capture the pain and uncertainty of modern life. Here is a picture of his sculptures.



This is are interpretation of it, we liked making it a happy family.

100 Days of School

So for the 100 days of school this year we went to Pizza Hut and the Playland Adventure. We actually went yesterday so it really was 105 days of school, anyway it was a blast.

The kids had a blast going up and down the huge slide. I haven't seen John John so happy in awhile, and what fun it is to get silly with Daddy.

We even have proof of how much fun they had.
