It's that time of year again....

Once again it's that time of year I like to reflect on the happenings and the plans of the past year and coming year.  DH had a hard year of healing in his leg/ankle slow going and painful.  Winter was rough but like always GOD is FAITHFUL.  We have stayed busy and focused doing work for God's Kingdom.  We have a 8th grade graduate and kiddos that serve right along with us which is awesome.  It seems fitting to end the summer with a visit to Lincoln my home here on earth.  Great times, memories, healing, and restoration happened.  To my family there in order for restoration to happen and peace to come back in your life forgiveness has to come. Even if the people that have offended don't know they have hurt you I ask and beg that you forgive already.  It's so not effective to God's plan to further the Kingdom.  Love you all so much.
"He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." Revelation 2:18

Hello again.....

This has been an interesting summer a lot of pain, surrender, trust, and peace.  Sometimes in that order.  As some of you know my dh has had a pretty bad accident with a roof and a ladder.  A couple surgeries and a few broken bones but healing is happening. SLOW but happening.  Through this time the Lord has been faithful like always even when I doubt and think the worst.  "Let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts...And always be thankful" Col 3:15
Oh how my plans for this summer were foiled but we are making it. I have surrendered once again my plan for HIS plan. "Rest begins with acceptance or perhaps more accurately, with surrender."  We have been so grateful for the families that have been helping us, praying for us, invites to a beautiful camp, helping with our kids.  Such blessings the body of Christ is, I love the unseen servants that come up to us and say we have been praying for you guys, and you know they have. Just awesome.
I don't have a ton of pictures for you this summer but I hope you like what I have.

"We ought to enter into God's rest and then serve Him wholeheartedly-not out of anxiety, but out of love and trust."

So we meet again.....

So I haven't blogged in a bit, I decided to start again today. What's been happening to the Robinson's? Well, we moved to Machias, Maine in August for healing, service, and a new start. We have been adjusting to the way life is in Down East Maine it is very different then other parts of Maine. It's a beautiful place the land is gorgeous from blueberry fields to the mountainous coast. The people are amazing, it takes them awhile to warm up to you but once they do your family. Many hardworking people down here, get your hands dirty from lobstering, blueberry raking, and clam digging. We have been going to Machias Christian Fellowship serving in Childrens'Ministry, worship, and the Arise Addiction Recovery. It's been a good move the Lord has once again blown my mind with His grace and forgivness and is continuing to guide and restore our family. Here are some pictures of the different hiking trips we enjoyed this summer and fall.

It's been awhile since I posted anything but, I guess it's time. We are still a homeschool family going in our 5th year. John John is in 3/4 grade Judah 1/2 Joey 1st, Johannah prek/k. This year has been very challenging so many new changes in my personal life that had me question things but the Lord always whispers the same "I haven't changed the plan, so why are you trying." We are doing Sonlight this year (gulp) the One year Condensed World History. I really am enjoying it the kids seem to be also. We just finished Ethiopia and are reading Gladys Aylward. THis book makes my hair stand on edge, awesome book of a women with God's strength can do anything. We are also doing Exploring Creation Zoology 1 Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day. Which we all love. So I will try to post some pics but my camera has bit the dust. Until next time!

"To most people who look at a mobile, it's no more than a series of flat objects that move. To a few, though, it may be poetry." Alexander Calder an American artist who inspired mobiles. Here is his work and ours.

Art class #2

Today another art lesson from "Usborne Art Treasury". We studied "Squares with Concentric Circles" by Vassily Kandinksy. He believed colors could express feelings in the same way as music. He was one of the first artists to develop "abstract" art. Here is a pic of his art and our interpretation of it.

JJ's pic: He loves the history of the artist, can tell you many facts he has learned about them.

Judah's pic: He loves art especially abstract art he has a real nitch for it.

Joey's pic: he loves hands on stuff to paint, playdough, anything he can get messy with.

Johannah's pic: She loves anything pretty and wants to make everything that way.

Of course Mama had to do one: I appreciate art I am not very good at it but love it.

Art Class

Today I am still feeling a little under the weather but I really wanted to do some art from my new book "The Usborne Art Treasury". So we studied "The Square" by Alberto Giacometti. He was born in Switzerland in 1901 he loved to do sculptures of people walking the streets. People admired the way they seemed to capture the pain and uncertainty of modern life. Here is a picture of his sculptures.

This is are interpretation of it, we liked making it a happy family.
